Dariusz Fodczuk continues his long-term performance series Dialogue with a Son, initiated at Galeria Labirynt in 2024. The work is a direct reference to Zbigniew Warpechowski’s 1976 performance of the same title, but reinterpreted in a new biographical and generational context. In Fodczuk’s version, it is the mother who engages in dialogue with her adult son, shifting the meaning of the original structure. At the Turku Biennale, the performance slightly changed and evolved in form. The presentation included Finnish artist Jussi Ajanko and was expanded by a new segment, in which Albina, lying on the floor among overturned tables and broken ceramics, demonstrated her rehabilitation exercises. These additions deepened the emotional and physical layers of the performance, reinforcing its character as a living dialogue between biography, memory, and the history of performance art.
