ON THE REVOLUTION OF BODIES II
Festival of Naked Forms, Prague, 2023

The performance is part of a series of works exploring the relationship between movement, corporeality, and the space of presentation. A key focus is on the interaction between object and action, body and form, stasis and motion, and how these elements shape the perception of the body in the context of art.

In this performance, the body functions as a sculptural form, its nature defined by rotational movement. The placement of naked figures on mobile platforms emphasizes the dynamic properties of the body, redefining its status within the realm of artistic practice.

Nudity in this work serves as a tool for examining the boundaries between individual expression and social norms. It refers to nudity as a form of natural expression while simultaneously acting as a gesture of resistance against societal and cultural mechanisms of bodily control. This theme aligns with the artist’s previous works, where nudity was employed as a performative strategy, most notably in the series The Game, developed in the early 2000s.

The performance examines the relationship between the body and space, treating movement as a structural element that assigns new meaning to corporeality. The presence of the naked body in the context of art is analyzed in terms of both its material and social implications.
